The Palestine Fire Department had the honor of participating in the Every 15 Minutes program presented to students at Palestine High School and Westwood High School. This two day program is directed locally by the Palestine Regional Medical Center EMS staff. All PFD stations were involved in the mock accidents involving extrication and helicopter standbys. The Every 15 Minutes program is presented to show the effects of a drunk driving accident. The presentation is based on the premise that a life is taken every 15 minutes in an alcohol-related accident.
