Eric Gartman, a seven-year verteran fire fighter of the Palestine Fire Department is currently serving a tour of duty with the Texas National Guard Unit 2-149 General Support Aviation Batallion in Iraq. Attached to the 34th Combat Aviation Brigade Eric's duties involve maintiance of the CH-47 Chinook helicopter. The department would like to wish Eric a safe tour and proudly awaits his return home.
